Coatings Care®—The Canadian Paint Industry’s Health, Safety and Environment Initiative

Manufacturers of paints, coatings and inks, and their suppliers, understand the value of protecting the environment and of working to ensure employee and consumer health and safety.

This is why nearly 700 of these companies in 11 countries, including 15 CPCA member companies, are Coatings Care® program members—and why the International Paint and Printing Ink Council (IPPIC) has worked internationally to develop and support the program.

Industry figures on environmental, health and safety performance trends demonstrate that the Coatings Care® program has been effective in enacting improvements. Over the past 20 years, it has been recognized by others outside industry, including government institutions and insurance companies, for its positive contribution.

Awareness of health, safety and environmental obligations informs how CPCA companies do business. As new customer needs lead to new product uses and new technologies, members strive to integrate sound health, safety and environmental practices into daily business operations.

Coatings Care® expresses our need to enhance product integrity and quality while adopting sound health, safety and environmental practices. Learn more about this important program:
